AAAI Pakistan is the official chapter of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence — a verified, membership-based community connecting AI researchers, students, trainers, and institutions across Pakistan with the global AAAI network and ecosystem.
Founded globally in 1979, AAAI is the world's premier scientific society for advancing artificial intelligence. Pakistan was officially recognized as a geographical AAAI chapter in 2025. We launched publicly on July 25, 2025 at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi, bringing together leading researchers, educators, and innovators.
Our mission: Connect Pakistan's brightest AI talent with world-class research, international collaboration, and career opportunities. We host events, facilitate research publication, run hackathons, and build Pakistan's presence in the global AI ecosystem.

AAAI Pakistan is proud to highlight their participation in the MIT Energy & Climate Hackathon. 72 accepted participants represented 43 universities and institutions, and two Pakistani teams ultimately travelled to the United States to compete alongside global innovators — a proud milestone for the AAAI Pakistan Chapter and a meaningful step towards connecting Pakistani students with international opportunities in AI, climate, energy, and emerging technologies.
